Information saved in your browser

If you use My Children, the names or nicknames, P.E. days and food preferences you enter are stored in this browser or installed app. Schoolday does not intentionally send those profile details to its operator or to a database.

Use a nickname rather than a full legal name, and do not enter medical, allergy or other sensitive information.

Device storage and installation

Schoolday uses browser storage to remember family profiles and essential app settings. Its service worker stores the app icon and manifest needed for installation, but the main Schoolday screen requires an internet connection so that access and information can stay current.

Information handled when you visit

As with most websites, the hosting service may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, device details and security logs. Weather is requested directly from Open-Meteo for a fixed East Kilbride location, so Open-Meteo receives the normal technical information associated with that request.

Analytics and advertising

Schoolday does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking or a separate analytics service. This notice will be updated before any non-essential tracking is introduced.

Deleting your information

Remove an individual profile from My Children, or clear Schoolday’s site data in your browser to erase all locally saved family details. Uninstalling the app alone may not clear browser storage.

Children and contact

Schoolday is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or carer, not used as a child account service. Privacy questions can be directed to Schoolday’s operator, Sean McCafferty. A dedicated public contact address will be added before wider release.
